An improviser, actor and writer for 25 years, John Lutz began his career acting and writing with the Second City National Touring Company. John played Lutz on 30 Rock, for which he won a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. He wrote on Saturday Night Live for seven seasons, winning 3 Writers Guild Awards and a Peabody Award. Film acting credits include: The Comedian, Sisters, Sleepwalk with Me and Friends with Kids. Television acting credits include: 30 Rock, The Good Wife, Playing House, Chicago Med and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. He recently wrote and produced the NY Times bestselling audiobook Escape from Virtual Island. He created, co-wrote and produced the series Mapleworth Murders with Paula Pell which you can watch on Roku. He currently writes and performs for Late Night with Seth Meyers.
